CONCERNING: Yx
To the venerable Mancyr, Yx Calrif of Kelemvor
Praytell this missive finds you in good health and status
The House of Ma'at is seeking the services of a grave-charmer
As proof of need and urgency, we have included a sum to be considered as a deposit for your task as we know it is custom
This should afford you the ability to charter a small vessel to our humble town
We bid thee, make haste—for ours is a dire circumstance.
The letter ends in an series of navigational equations. From what you can tell, you’ll be passing through the realm of Roya to reach a place called “Tardosh”. You’ve never been to Roya. What’s more, as a lowly acolyte of your faith (...and having just gotten started) — you can’t help but wonder how these people have come to know you.
And yet, a duty is a duty. And your god, concerned with justice. Who are you to say no when that justice is requested, by name?
CONCERNING: Thraax
....Yx has asked you to join them on another quest—this time they seek to travel to Roya. Hmm. Royans tend to lean towards necromancy as a culture. You wonder why these people want to hire the services of a gravecharmer such as Yx.
CONCERNING: Drugan
..You’ve been approached by the Cleric Yx and the Paladin Thraax to help them reach a place called Tardosh in the Royic Realm. You rarely get the chance to visit Roya and as such have offered the services of your own ship and navigator to help forge the way.
CONCERNING: Koyasil
...You’re new to Pithe, but you’ve done a few jobs for people in town already. Drugan is often your fixer, but this is the first time they’ve has hired you for work directly. You’ll be heading into a region known as Roya. You’ve only ever heard rumors of this place...namely of their cultural pursuit of something they call the Sorcerer Supreme. Part of you is excited to explore a new environment. You’ve always been interested in seeing what exists out there. And hey, Drugan’s been a cool contact so far—feels good to have a standby in a world as chaotic as this.

History: Pithe was a strategic location during the Crucible wars. A lot of ruins stand as monuments to the violence that was once wrought here. Pithe is known as a ‘stepping stone city’—visited often but hosting few natives.
- Environment: The rain-forests around Pithe are known to host a thriving population of cockatrice and mythic beasts. Pithe is built on a mountainous coast. It looks directly at the Dragon’s Breath Storm. One can see the realm of Koss from the coast.
The Scholar’s Misanthrope
-
Navigator: Hetidios of Manara
-
Vessel Soul: The Martyr: Though their name is lost to time, Hetidios states that the ship was a martyr, who became a tangent vessel to help his clergy escape environmental disaster. Evidently they were a pious and humble soul, and made their living as a candlemaker.
- Characteristic: The ship runs quiet. Eerily so.
- Physical Features: Sleek and Unassuming. Large and Spartan. Clean and Pious.
- Internal Features: Large cargo hold; Navigator’s chamber looks like a library; no current pilot (must have coordinates to travel); comfortable crew quarters.
- Mystery: There are doors in the ship that are yet sealed.
