Can we take it slow for a moment? Let your breath settle and wash over you. Do you feel this? This is how it feels when another human writes to you. I don’t use language learning models or AI. I like to think that writing is opening a little door in my heart and letting you in. Or perhaps I am visiting the door to your heart? No matter the case, we are safe here. No one can take away your independence.

An introduction: My name is JC Franco. I like to think of myself as a humanist graphic designer. This means that I still care about things like agency and artistry. To me, the human experience that we share is the core of why I pursue art and communication. I adore slowness, critical thinking, and authentic learning. I prioritize making connections, not just between the synapses of my own mind, but between the rich tapestry of you and me and us as a society. Else, what is the point?
