Drugan

Shadow Broker

What follows is common knowledge as it relates to your character.

Home-Maker
It has been an arduous task getting used to your new world, but its not unbearable. You are—after all—an octopus. Adaptable, Brave, and Capable—not just aspirational traits, but requirements to live among the harsh and chaotic coral reefs of your home realm. There was a place brimming with predators, where a chance wave of a tentacle could alert your presence to creatures miles away.
This world--Morda they call it--is just as chaotic, but in its own way. You’ve seen cities filled with all kinds of people, experienced environments you once could not even dream of, and have become enamoured with the magic that permeates this world. So much so that you’ve made a living of it.
By heavenly providence or sheer luck, you’ve found yourself a rising star in the information trade. People come to you, first out of curiousity, but then out of trust. You may have started with magic items, but you’ve soon come to realize that stories are just as valuable if not more, in a world disconnected by planar storms.

The Information Trade
You are realizing how big this world truly is, how many stories are waiting to be told. Every port begets a new map to memorize, new people, new connections. At first, you used these stories to garner trust. Now, you’re growing sensitive to the value of the stories you don’t tell. You’ve a few solid connections in the port cities that you frequent.

[ Feature: Information Network:  Merchants shake a lot of hands and listen to a lot of idle chatter while hawking their wares. In these meetings and conversations they are often able to glean profitable information. If you spend one day plying your trade by selling goods in a city or town, by the end of the day you will have heard most of the news and rumors of events in the city and will know who the important personalities in the area are – you may have even met and ingratiated yourself to a few of them.  Doing this may have the inverse affect of alerting an area to your presence unless you take extra precautions ]
